Ghasts shoot with end portal frames

I was walking in the nether searching for a Nether Fortress and a ghast started shooting at me. Surprisingly, he didn't shoot with fireballs but wit end portal frames? I know there is another bug reported about this, but i think this is about the new resource pack system.
