Stuck

When I logged in, all hard blocks are gone, I can see mobs and the clouds, start, moon. I am unable to move or use any items. My 'sword' icon under my crosshair is constantly there but not filled in. Time moves but I can't do anything. My actions deplete the 'full' gauge.
