Pushing soul sand/soil onto player with soul speed can cause strange things to happen

Using a piston to push a soul block onto a player with soul speed (standing on a soul block) can cause weird things to happen.

Pushing the soul block onto the player from the side pushes the block through the player. (video)

Pushing the soul block under the player up causes the player to lose soul speed effect.
