Salmon with no AI spawned in default world with loud noises

I was flying in a creative world above oceans and heard loud swimming noises 2 times. Both times, I tracked it down to a no AI salmon facing North. Hitting it did not move it and the noises stopped when I killed it. It happened near kelp both times, and I was in the cold ocean biome the second time (Did not check the first time).
