Chat message keeps crashing the game

I was trying to say in chat "Anyways, I came back from being AFK to find that I had drowned :\", but every time I tried to say it, everyone who was logged onto the same server as me would crash, and I would crash too. I've tried to even just say it in different chat messages, but it still crashes... This also only happens on the snapshot that I listed above.
