World dosen't load in

When ever I connect to my friend's server the world doesn't load the terrain all I see is a blue sky and the sun in no matter how long I try to wait it does not load I tried reinstalling Java and minecraft, it worked on other servers but not on the server I wanted to play on. I was the only one. All of my friend's didn't have the issue 

What could be wrong? I've tried literally everything that I could find on the web

Please help
