Right clicking in creative mode or survival mode replaces broken block

Whenever I change the game mode, break a block and right click neighboring blocks it replaces the block I broke and I can't enter the area formed. After restarting the world i died and i couldn't move.

I'm having this problem in all other 1.16 snapshots.
