Can't see xp level in creative

After the removal of the xp bar creative bug, the XP level is not viewable in creative mode. These pics were taken 3 seconds after each other the top is creative mode with xp and the bottom is survival mode with the same xp

I am not talking about the XP bar, I am talking about the level number
