When creating a buffet soul sand valley floating island type world the game freezes

Whenever I try creating a soul sand valley world with floating islands the loading screen gets stuck on 0% and doesn't load at all. I even waited for 1 hour and it stayed like that. Either it is taking incredibly long or the game totally freezes when trying to create the world type.
