End Gateway doesn't work. Renaming any item in anvil doesn't work

Building on the issue above, it mentions not being able to rename the item 'Item Name Tag', however this problem exists with every item.

 

In The End, when using a Ender Pearl on a gateway I do get the advancement but I don't travel anywhere. Instead I remain in the same place.
