Minecraft world re-create

My friend came round and clicked re-create to get the seed on my world. It worked and he looked around then quit. The next day I was going on my original world and deleted the re-created world. When I got on my original world I looked at my house and a big chunk of it was gone. Please reply and tell me how to get it all back.
