Angry piglins

There were some piglins a few blocks away from me, I mined a quartz ore and after that they became aggresive. Changed the game to peaceful, died and respawned and they're still aggresive. I gave them some gold but they would still attack me. I thought they would get angry only when you mine gold, open a chest or hit them. Is there a away make them friendly again?
