Shooting a firework rocket into a target won't set off a redstone signal

The bug

When shooting a firework rocket from a crossbow or dispenser into a target it won't give off a redstone signal despite being a projectile.

How to reproduce

1. Load a firework rocket into a crossbow or dispenser (crossbow is the easiest)
2. Hook up a target to a redstone lamp or door (I used door)
3. Fire it into the target
   → Notice no redstone pulse
