Nether fog flickers in the distance when moving near biome boundaries

When the player moves around the Nether, the Nether fog in the distance will flicker. This flickering makes distant structures momentarily visible.

Reproduce

Seed: 1
Coordinates: /execute in minecraft:the_nether run tp @p -96 60 3 -135 0

• Turn render distance to 16 chunks
• Move back to the basalt delta
  Notice the fog flickering
