Crimson Tree rendering issue

What I expected to happen was...:
A tree touching the nether roof

What actually happened was...:
A tree INSIDE the nether roof 

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Either go to a crimson forest or place a crimson fungi near the nether roof
2. bonemeal the fungi of look for a tree 
3. stare at the oddity
