Freezes When Moving

On my mac I played minecraft but whenever I tried to walk or move the mouse it freezes for about 1 minute or so then goes back to normal but it does this every time I move, and with the snapshot I do not have this problem it works perfectly fine but I cant play minecraft normally on 1.5.2.
