Horse Cannot enter boat

I'm currently playing the snapshot version of the game, thinking I would be able to travel far with my horse buddy. I soon found I could not which was completely upsetting due to having to leave him behind to explore more. He was not able to enter the boat no matter what I tried. I hope this can be fixed.
