world loading screen stuck on 0%

I created a creative world, normal world type with a random seed and when I pressed create world, it was stuck on 0%. it has been stuck on 0% for over an hour now.  it wouldn't let me close Minecraft. I thought muy pc was just playing up so I turned it off and on but the world loading screen was still stuck on 0%. I am playing in the latest snapshot, 20w07a.
