[MC-172592] Breaking a larger than normally possible Nether portal makes the game crash with a java.lang.StackOverflowError

The bug

Breaking a Nether portal that is larger than 23x23 (portals normally possible to make) built by using commands, causes the game to crash

How to reproduce

Use the following command to build the portal.
