I can't launch any version higher than 1.8

I often crash when breaking a block, because the block drops something other than itself, and then i crash. Ex: Broke Grass; Dropped sand and Game immediately stopped responding.

I am also unable to launch any version higher than 1.8, and sometimes the game does not open, but the launcher says that the game is running.  All Versions 1.9+ Stop responding on loading screen.

On 1.8 it is Also not possible for me to load a new or saved world, It always stops on "Building Terrain"
