Debug menu pie chart doesn't go away

When I hold shift and press F3 the pie chart pops up like normal, but when I leave the F3 menu the pie chart freezes doesn't go away. It stays even when I'm in the settings, world selector, or main menu. It only goes away if I close and re-open the game.
