When I press play on the minecraft launcher and the game starts I get a white screen.

When I press play on the minecraft launcher and the game starts I get a white screen. I hear the game music and i can click the buttons in the game, but my screen is white. When I take a screen-shot of the game it shows up normally in the picture.
