Grass Block Sound Plays Incorrectly

When destroying a grass block with your fist, the sound is very high pitched and nearly non audible. Other blocks sound fine.

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected the sound of a grass block to play.

What actually happened was...:
A high pitched, quiet sound played.
