Shift clicking while dragging mouse over items in inventory not working.

It seems to affect Bedrock edition too, but when it comes to trying to quickly move items while holding shift and LMB while dragging it over all the items in any inventory, the items don't react except the initial item. I've checked my touchscreen settings, and it's not on, and I tried checking my controls but nothing is wrong there either. What's going on?
