Villagers start to breed but wont make baby

Sometimes when my villagers start to breed, they'll finish the process without a baby villager showing up. I looked it up and someone said its a bug but that was from a while ago and it still isn't fixed, so I figured I'd bring it up, hopefully it'll actually get fixed soon.
