Throwing items into fire doesn't destroy/burn them

What I expected to happen was...:
Throwing items into fire burns said item

What actually happened was...:
Throwing items into fire did not burn said item

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get any item
2. Throw said item into normal or soul fire
3. Item does not burn
