Trees spawn on the nether ceiling

Nether trees occasionally spawn on the bedrock ceiling.

 

How to reproduce:

Fly around the nether ceiling for a while, particularly above mushroom forests, and you may encounter this. I'm not sure if there are any other variables that cause trees to spawn on the ceiling because I only saw it in some of the forests I checked out.
