When you look at ice from under water it is not there

What I expected to happen was:

I expected that i could see the ice

What actually happened was:
What happened was that the ice was completely invisible

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place some ice
2. plase water at least 2 Blocks deep
3. Sink into the water so that Your head is under or on the same Level as the ice
