Minecraft Connection Issue

I recently started getting the following error when trying to join any minecraft server: an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Sometimes, I can play for hours, only to be interrupted by this message when trying to join my realm. The world loads very slow, and I cannot interact with it, all this followed by the message provided above. 

I've tried multiple "tips", but nothing seems to work, and it gets really frustrating. I have a steady internet connection, and it works everywhere else except in Minecraft.
