Campfire smoke is not visible through glass panes

For some reason while watching mumbo's gym video he could not see smoke through stained glass or stained glass panes: https://youtu.be/oXRFPADUqWk?t=581 

I checked it out myself and yes this is a bug and should probably be fixed, thanks to mumbo's video who prompted me on this problem
