Boat wouldn't break or allow me to ride (possibly server glitch)

It was on 1.14.4, contrary to what it says.

I found this weird glitch where I was in a boat with a villager then logged out and then I logged back in. I couldn't get into the boat, break the boat (it just dropped item without breaking), /kill the boat or its dropped items, /tp the villager to me (when I did it tp'ed to the boat), or anything of that sort. I think the server thought i was in the boat still, but my client moved freely. I logged in and out with no evail and tried to /kill myself (with keepInventory on) and then it deleted my items. I flew back to retrieve them but they weren't there (I did /tp @e[type=item] to make sure)
