Puzzle world

My brother unplugged the computer as I was flying in the air with Elytra. When I rejoined minutes later all the chunks had scrambled. Some were duped and others gone. The whole world for as long I could go was scrambled. Chunks were nowhere where they were supposed to be. I had spent literal days on that world. And now I can't even find the rest of my base. When I did find part of it the chests were empty. And I had to open them for the actual chest to appear. Wtf happened?!?!
