[MC-169314] The Minecraft Launcher Crashes Due to an Unexpected Error

I have had this problem ever since I got my MacBook. I downloaded Minecraft, logged in under my preexisting Mojang account and then tried to start up the game but then I was told that "an unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed." I have tried redownloading the game many times, logging in and out, and looking at the launcher code. I can't make any sense of the code but it does say that a file is missing or is unable to be found.
