Unable to open User Interface blocks while crouching and have an item in hand

The Bug
When Shifting and having any item in your hand you are unable to open blocks that take you to a User Interface

Replicate

• Shift (You can toggle it to make it easier)
• Place a block with a User Interface (Crafting Table, Stone Cutter, Blast Furnace, Chest etc.)
• Hold any item in your hand (I used a stick)
• Click to open User Interface
• Notice that you can't
