Can't Switch Armor on Horse If Horse Has Armor Already On

If you already have armor on a horse and you want to put a different kind of armor on them and you left click to place it, it does nothing.

What Happened Was
The horse armor did not trade out

What I Expected to Happen Was
The horse armor would trade and give me back the armor that was on the horse
