Leopard and Regular Bay Horse Texture Glitch

When spawning Horses, some spawn with armor, and the armor cannot be removed. Unsure whether or not the armor offered protection, or if it was a texture error.
What I expected to happen was that every horse would spawn without armor.

What actually happened was that some horses (mostly Bay Colored with Leopard Appaloosa Pattern) Spawned with armor already on. The armor item did not show up in the GUI and could not be removed. Putting on another set of armor did not change the texture.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a horse spawn egg
2. Spawn horses until one with armor shows up (about a 1/50 chance?)
EDIT: Only occurs on Bay Colored Default Pattern and Bay Colored Leopard Appaloosa
