Frequent crashing in 1.15.1

I am getting single/multiple crashes per play period using 1.15.1 (I am using my world from 1.14.4).

 

The DEBUG log always has the same errors and it seems like it can't write the report (also, when the game crashes and I am offered the chance to Close or View the crash report, clicking on View does nothing):

The crashes mainly happen during mining or mob farming, but I have also seen the game crash when I wasn't even doing anything.   I'm not running any shaders or resource packs, other than the defaults.

 

The same world never crashed when playing 1.14.4.
