Block placing sound doesn't not play when placing Redstone ore on Redstone ore

When placing Redstone ore on to Redstone ore. the block placing sound does not play. I have tested this in SP and MP. the sound plays when put on different stones fine . So far it is just when you place it on Red stone ore the sound does not play
