Tripwire trouble

Twang! was the last thing I expected to hear when i punched a trip wire string! 

 Am i going nuts? Last time checked, when I activated or atleast broke the wire the string would drop but no! 

It makes a arrow sound and goes on its merry way.

 

hope this gets fixed.
