Blocks and Texts turn completely black when using night vision below y=0

Usually, when being below bedrock, everything still looks normal. When using night vision, however, texts, blocks, and everything on the screen turns pitch black. It goes back to normal after the effect wears off. This didn't happen before 1.15, but it's still occurring in 1.15.1. As you can see in the photo, the inventory is blacked out as well.
