Server Connection Issues

Experiencing trouble successfully joining servers (all). Sometimes being unable to join the server at all, and when I can it just puts me in some "void" area, unable to see inventory/hotbar, use TAB, move or access chat. After trying to join and leave for some minutes it usually fixes itself.
