Unable to Attack/Break Blocks

So. Here I am. Messing around with the new combat features with my little brother, when I accidentally dropped my diamond hoe in my 2 slot. At the same time I did this, I switched to my sword by mistake. I pressed Q,2, and 1 all at the same time. What happened, was my sword was deleted from existance. My hoe was thrown on the ground, and I could no longer left click in game. Every block i clicked, even mobs and players, had no effect whatsoever. I tried switching gamemodes, dying, clearing my inventory, reloading the world, unbinding and rebinding my break/attack button, everything I can think of. Essentially, it broke the world. It is now completely unplayable.

I'm not really sure what else there is to the bug, but it's kinda severe.
