Weird problems with textures and light

My brother was just building a house for himself, and when he was putting a glowstone block on a ceiling of his room in the house, all of the textures has changed to something like on the screenshots below.

 

PS. Refreshing textures or changing resource packs from 'Programmer Art' to default and from default to "Programmer Art" doesn't help.
