Item entities turn invisible for a brief moment when being picked up

The Bug:

Item entities turn invisible for a brief moment when being picked up.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Summon an item entity nearby and set the tick rate to a very low value by using the command provided below.

   /summon minecraft:item ~2 ~ ~ {Item:{id:"minecraft:stone",count:1}}

   /tick rate 1

2. Approach the item to pick it up, and watch closely as you do this.

Observed Behavior:

Item entities turn invisible for a brief moment.

Expected Behavior:

Item entities would not turn invisible for a brief moment.
