Bees not able to exit nest after harvesting with bottle

After harvesting for honey bottles with a campfire the bees are perpetually stuck in the hive. They will occasionally try to exit, the popping sound will play and the bee will appear for a split second before immediately going back into the nest. Breaking and replacing the hive it will temporarily resolve the issue. it seems to happen randomly, quite often and only when using bottles to harvest the nests.
