Redstone Torches & Trapped Chests incorrectly power pistons a block below them

Redstone Torches and Trapped Chests will power and affect pistons a few blocks below them. The pistons will behave as if the powerer is just above them, and powering the torch off will turn the pistons off, same with the trapped chest. Pistons seem to be the only ones affected by these two.
