Flying with Elytra at high speed removes walking effect after landing

When flying at high speeds using Elytra, after landing, the walking effect is gone. The player will move normally without the walking effect.

 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Get a trident with high riptide level (1000 or over, so that you can reach speeds of more than 1 km/s, or 1000 blocks/s) and an Elytra, of course.
2.  Fly for a while and land (try going 100 - 200 km away from where you were). You will see you will be moving forward but in a static way, without the walking effect.
