Weather effects become visible through blocks when experience orbs are picked up & beds are rendered

When experience orbs are rendered onscreen are collected at the same time as a bed is rendered, weather effects such as snow can be seen through certain blocks. In images 1 & 2, beds are rendered while experience orbs are collected (making a "ding" sound), and snow can be seen over the blocks. In the 3rd image, beds are not rendered, so the snow is not visible. At one point, I believed the bug only affected certain directions (namely west) but it works when facing every other direction, although the snow tends to appear in the north and west.
