it is not creative mode, is it?

why  does the beehive block always acts like you broke it in survival 

What I expected to happen was...:
when i break any block in creative game mode it wouldn't drop itself  

What actually happened was...:
when i break a beehive in creative game mode, the beehive actually drops itself

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to creative mode
2.place a beehive 
3. break the beehive
