sticky pistons not working with 2 blocks

the sticky pistons dont work with honey or slime blocks

What I expected to happen was...:
i expected that the sticky piston would push and grab the slime/honey block

What actually happened was...:
but instead the sticky piston didnt even move. but for some reason a 1 redstone tick can move the block

Steps to Reproduce:
1. place a sticky piston
2. put a redstone trail into the sticky piston to power it
3. place a slime or honey block infront of the sticky piston

4. power the sticky piston
